Shirley was born September 11, 1933, in Eagle Valley Township, Todd County, to Lorenzo & Evelyn (Ellestad) Line. She married Ivan Pesta on May 31, 1955.   Shirley worked various jobs:  she was a bookkeeper at the CO-OP and for Montgomery Wards in St. Paul. She was by far a dairy farmer’s wife who helped with all the chores. Shirley was very active in her church, she volunteered where she was needed and was a member of the Royal Neighbors.  She was a great cook, full of laughter and very caring. She will be lovingly remembered by her family for always saying “Slow down Ivan.”

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents; and brother Glen Line. She is survived by her husband Ivan; children:  Bob (Cheryl) Pesta, Lynn (Debby) Pesta, Ann Umland, Bruce Pesta; siblings:  Jim (Linda) Line, Butch (Janice) Line, Jeanette (Kenny) Pesta; grandchildren:  Shawn Pesta, Jeffrey Pesta, Chris Pesta, Michael Umland, Mitchell Umland; great grandchildren:  Brad Pesta and Jeanna Pesta.
