Sharon was born April 22, 1940, in Bertha, MN, to Ted & Crystal (Johnson) Tell. She lived her entire childhood on their family farm west of Eagle Bend. Sharon attended Wykeham Country School until the 7th grade. She graduated from Eagle Bend High School in 1957. Sharon met Glenn Line, the love of her life, on a blind date and they were later married on June 14, 1958. She and Glenn purchased a 40-acre farm three miles west of Eagle Bend in 1961 and raised five children. Sharon was a DHIA Supervisor for Todd County for many years. She put her career on hold while raising five children and tending to their farm. She later returned to a DHIA Supervisor and later retired.
Sharon enjoyed many activities in her lifetime; ladies bowling league on Friday afternoons in Eagle Bend for many years, going to casinos, scratching lotto tickets, and would not miss out on taking part in pull tabs with friends or family. Sharon and her husband, Glenn, enjoyed visiting with friends and relatives. She and Glenn would go for “car rides” on Saturdays and Sundays and would end up at a supper club/restaurant for a “bite to eat”, they’d say. She was also proud of achieving a major goal in the donation of blood to the Red Cross. Nothing could get in her way of watching her favorite soap opera “Days of Our Lives”. Sharon is a current member of the Faith Lutheran Church, Eagle Bend, MN.
Sharon loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was proud of all of their accomplishments and their loving personalities.
Sharon is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Line; parents Ted & Crystal (Johnson/Aldrich) Tell, stepfather Renold Aldrich; and sister-in-law, Shirley Pesta. Sharon is survived by her daughters, Pam (Leroy) DeWald, Sonja (Steve) Pearson, Lynette (Sjon Malmgren) Rokes; sons Duane (Stephanie) Line, Jason (Melissa) Line; 13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother Curt (Diane) Tell; sister Karilyn (Paul) Martinsen; brothers-in-law Lawrence (Janice) Line, Jim (Linda) Line, Ivan Pesta; sister-in-law Jeannette (Kenny) Pesta.
