Sara Casperson passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at the CentraCare Long Prairie Hospital. She was 27 years old.

A memorial service in her honor will take place on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Iten Funeral Home Chapel in Browerville. A visitation will take place from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, September 6, 2024 at the Iten Funeral Home, and will continue the day of the service one hour prior. Burial will take place later that day at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Rural Long Prairie.  

Sara Ann Casperson was born April 1, 1997, to Bob and Joan Casperson in Alexandria, Minnesota. She was baptized into her Christian faith at Trinity Lutheran in Long Prairie, MN. At the age of just three years old Sara learned to skate. Being very athletic and ambitious, Sara enjoyed riding snowmobile and four wheelers and continued playing hockey until her junior year of high school. If she was not playing hockey, she was watching the Minnesota Wild or Gophers. Sara had a love for loud music, especially rap, watching car races, playing cribbage and being an overall prankster. Sara passed away on August 31, 2024, at the age of 27 years old.

Sara leaves behind her two sons; Luke and Henry Cueva; special friend; Jake Roden, parents; Bob and Joan, sister; Kellie (fiancé Tyler Shequen) Casperson; nieces; Aubrey and Adalyn Casperson, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Sara is proceeded in death by her grandparents; Raymond and Della Mau, Karen Tingelstad and Paul Casperson, great grandmother; Helen Adams, uncle; Gary Mau and aunt; Gloria Mau.
