Ruth (Warneka) Kent

Ruth Kent, 79, of Clarissa, passed away on July 22, 2020, at the Central Todd County Care Center.

Memorial Service will be on August 7, 2020 - 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. followed by the Interment will be held 2 p.m. at the Minnesota State Veteran’s Cemetery, Little Falls.

Ruth married Melvin Kent in 1960 in St. Louis, Missouri.  They moved to Minnesota to begin farming and Melvin worked for Surge and DeVal.  Ruth worked at milking cows when they went out of farming, she worked at the Central Todd County Care Center for 19 years.   Ruth enjoyed playing cards, doing ceramics, spending time with family and friends.  She also enjoyed going to her Florida home during the winter.

Ruth is preceded in death by her husband Melvin Kent, and her son Jim Kent, daughter-in- law Tracey Kent and grandsons:  Josh Ostrowski and Aaron Kent, parents Robert and Vera Warneka, and many other family members.

Ruth is survived by her son Bernard Kent (Cedar Rapids, IA), daughter: Debbie Ostrowski & husband Greg of Browerville:  Son Jeff Kent and wife Penny of Long Prairie.  Sisters: Eyvonne Dempewolf, Linda Wolfgram, Brothers: Bob Warneka and Wife Sue, Lee Warneka and Wife Sandy.  17 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

Many other relatives and friend that will miss her dearly.
