Ronald “Ron” E. Ollman died peacefully in St. Cloud, MN on January 15, 2021 at the age of 72. Ron was born in Long Prairie on June 14, 1948, to Howard and Dolores Ollman and grew up in Browerville, MN.
Ron was inducted into the U.S. Army April 1, 1968 and only a year later on April 4, 1969 was awarded the “Bronze Star Medal, With Valor" for his heroism in action on December 19, 1968 in the Republic of Vietnam.
He is survived by siblings, Rose-Marie Bebault, Dave (Cherie) Ollman, Evie (Ted) Biermaier, Willard Koivisto, Lyle Koivisto, Greg (Dee) Koivisto, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard Ollman and Dolores Koivisto, and brother, John Ollman.
Due to Covid-19, his service is being delayed and will be held at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Fort Ripley on a future date.
