Roger was born June 15, 1935, in Long Prairie to Jacob & Edna (Asmus) Becker.  He was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Long Prairie Township.  He attended District 38 through the 8th grade and graduated from the Long Prairie High School in 1953.  On August 24, 1958, Roger married Karen E. Drevlow.  Roger worked at Hart Press-Banta for 40 years.  After retirement, he learned how to play the concertina and sharpened knives for people.  In his early years he played with the Six Jolly Fellows Dance Band and was the hottest fastpitch softball pitcher in the area!  

Roger is preceded in death by his parents, Jacob & Edna, In-laws, John J & Margaret (Lemke) Drevlow. 

Roger is survived by his wife Karen; children:  Audrey (Carl) Morrill of Long Prairie, Gail (Corey) Heid of Browerville, Arlene (David) Geisenhof of Long Prairie; grandchildren:  Adam (Kim) Morrill, Katie (Mitch) Lieser, Jared (Erin) Morrill, Mitch Heid, Grant Heid, Laura Geisenhof, Tommy Geisenhof; great grandchildren:  Hudson Lieser, Blake Morrill, Everly Lieser, Lacey Morrill, Easton Lieser, Bryson Lieser; siblings:  Joyce (Bob) MacDonald of Roseville and Allan Becker of Long Prairie.
