Robert "Bob" Tesch, 95 year old of Long Prairie, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at the St. Cloud Hospital.

A funeral service for Robert L. Tesch, age 95, of Long Prairie, MN, will be held on April 12, 2025, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Long Prairie at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held one hour prior at the church. Burial for Robert will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery following the service.

On October 25, 1929, Austin Minnesota got a bit brighter and louder when Robert Louis Tesch entered it. Born to Herbert and Dora Tesch, Robert (Bob) stood out as a very social, outgoing and busy boy. After a few round-about curves, the family settled in Long Prairie, Minnesota where Bob attended country school.

A beautiful schoolteacher by the name of Audrey stopped in one day at the local barber shop to get a haircut and not only did she get a fresh new do, but she got Bob’s heart as well. The couple married on April 2, 1955, and were blessed with 70 years of marriage and a full life together. Being a father and a good provider was important to Bob; him and Audrey completed their family with three wonderful children. Bob had very high expectations for his children and that showed in his parenting with both love and a bar set high for each one of them.

Bob’s passion and big ambition kept him full of adventure. His favorite hobbies were hunting and fishing, as well as being a socialite everywhere he went. He kept himself busy on their hobby farm with the never-ending projects he had going on. The farm had racehorses and several teams of Draft horses. Bob also had an eye for seeing treasure in other people’s antiques and that came with restoring old tractors and cars. He was a proud member of the Country Cruisers Car Club.  He also enjoyed traveling the beautiful countryside. Places such as Texas, Canada, and Alaska were just a few highlights he had as well as taking many adventurous camping excursions.

Bob was an Army Veteran and was awarded the Bronze Star after his time serving in the Korean War. He worked at Hart Press for 42 years before retiring and during his time there he helped negotiate the first union. Bob was a member of the Legion in Long Prairie and was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

The world got quieter on April 6th, when Bob went to be with the Lord at the age of 95. He leaves behind his wife of 70 years, Audrey Tesch; children, Linda (Steve) Wann, Joel (Lori Kuhl) Tesch, and Gary (Laura) Tesch; grandchildren, Wendy (Tim Heiland) Tesch, Drew Wann, Joshua (Danielle) Tesch, Amber (Sam) Bennett, Landon Tesch, Lydia Tesch, Kim Kuhl, Kelsey Davis, Krystal Katzenberger, Shane Kuhl, and Kody Kuhl; and six great-grandchildren. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Herbert and Dora; siblings, Donald (Arlene) Tesch, Marilyn Tesch, Harriet Griffin, and Donna (Art) Seebach.
