Rita Fuller, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at the Central Todd County Care Center in Clarissa.  She was 92 years old.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, June 21, 2024, at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Clarissa at 11:00 AM. Visitation will take place one hour prior at the church. Burial will follow the mass at the church cemetery.

Rita was born in Long Prairie, MN to Joseph and Louise (Waletzko) Gaida on April 1, 1932. She was raised on a farm near Browerville, graduated from Browerville H.S., and was Browerville’s 1950 Dairy Days Princess. In 1951, she married Donald Fuller and together they farmed near Clarissa.  Over the years in addition to farming, she was employed at Ringer Company in Staples, The Clarissa Hardware Store, Clarissa High School, and Petron Farms. As well as being a long-time member of the Ladies Aid at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

In earlier years, Rita and Don were in a bowling league, played cards, and always went dancing on Saturday nights. She tended a big garden, always cooking, canning, and baking. Anyone who stopped in for a visit never left hungry.

Rita is survived by her daughter Linda Isaacson of Savage; son Roger Fuller of Alexandria; siblings, Gary Gaida of Maple Plain, Laverne “Punky” Busch of Browerville, Jeanette (George) Irsfeld of Browerville, Mark (Peggy) Gaida of Burnsville, Judy (Ed) Daniels of Battle Lake; brother-in-law Glen (Barb) Fuller of Pine River; step-grandson Adam (IBeth – fiancée) Isaacson of Boca Raton, FL, two-step great-grandsons; a step great-great grandson; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don; brother Jim “Butch” Gaida; son-in-law Kurt Isaacson; brother-in-law Rodney Busch; and sister-in-law Joyce Gaida.
