Rosie Motl, 84 of Browerville died Friday, September 24, 2021, at the Lakewood Health System in Staples. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church in Browerville; burial was in the parish cemetery.
Rosie was born March 4, 1937, to Tony and Stella (Spychalla) Lisson in Iona Township, Todd County, Minnesota.
Rosie graduated from high school in 1955 and on September 5, 1955, she married Robert Motl at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Browerville. Together they raised their children and worked on the farm. Rosie kept a large garden and enjoyed canning. At the end of the day, she found peace in watching the birds. Rosie enjoyed cooking and together with Bob enjoyed attending their children and grandchildren’s events. She was a 4H leader for 11 years, on two bowling leagues, enjoyed playing cards and was a member of the homemakers.
Rosie is survived by, son Bruce (Helen) Motl, daughter-in-law Kim Harff, grandchildren: Ann, Emma, Amy, Jason, Aaron, Bryan, Shawn, and Mike, 9 great grandchildren, brother Tony (Donna) Lisson and bother-in-law Richard (Katherine) Motl. She is preceded in death by her parents Tony and Stella, husband Bob, and son Michael.
