Heaven grew brighter on Tuesday, February 18, 2025  while our world grew dimmer as Orlue Taylor Alverson woke up in the arms of Jesus.

A funeral service in her honor will take place on Saturday February 22nd, 2025 at Elim Lutheran Church in Osakis at 11:00am. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church. A private family burial will take place later that day. 

Orlue was born on January 3, 2025, to Will and Grace Alverson and was joyfully welcomed by her big sister, Eden. She brought joy to many with her cuddles, which she shared generously. She loved helping with sheep chores on the family farm. Her big sister affectionately called her "Baby" and made sure she always had her pacifier.  She was often complimented on her brilliant red hair. She leaves a large hole in the hearts of those who loved her.

She is survived by her parents and sister of Osakis, MN; grandparents Richard and Chris Alverson of Osakis, MN, and Douglas and Sara Taylor of Thompson, ND; great-grandparents Joyce Alverson of Sauk Centre, MN, Karen Knudsvig of Buxton, ND, Robert Taylor of Medford, OR, and Carole Taylor of Temecula, CA; aunts and uncles Melinda (Preston) Nash of Monticello, Brittany (Nick) Laven of Battle Lake, MN, Robbie (Britta) Alverson of Osakis, MN, Michelle (Andrew) Franz of Ashby, MN, Diana (Nate) Crellin of Fergus Falls, MN, Bobbi Jo (Luther) Zeltinger of Fargo, ND, Luke Taylor of Grand Forks, ND, and Joseph, Adrian, Arianna, Trenton Taylor of Thompson, ND; along with many cousins.

Orlue was preceded in death by some great-grandparents and some cousins.
