Michelle Hillmer, 55 year old of Elk River, died on May 8, 2025, as the result of a motor vehicle accident.

A memorial service in her honor will take place on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at the Iten Funeral Home Chapel of Browerville at 11:00 AM. Visitation will take place one hour prior at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Browerville, MN.

Michelle Lynn Hillmer, was born on May 30, 1969, the daughter of Robert and June (Radimecky) Hillmer at Midway Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota. Missy graduated from Long Prairie High school and then attended cosmetology school. On June 13, 1992, Missy married Steven C. Drager. Their marriage later dissolved but they were blessed with two amazing sons, Taylor Anthony Drager and Tanner Curtis Drager.

When Missy was not busy making people look and feel their best in her salon chair, she enjoyed fishing and spending time at their property with her fiancé Dan Taylor. She loved the outdoors and could often be found behind the handlebars of a 4-wheeler, with the wind blowing and sunshine shining. She loved flowers, gardening and bird watching. Missy never turned down a trip to the casino or to play a game of cards or quarters. Road trips were right up her alley, her free spirit and spark for life often let her pick up her mom, June, and say “which way we should go?” The two of them often went on spontaneous adventures. Having fun! And laughing the way through the day. Missy wore many hats in life, beautician, wife, daughter, sister and friend; but her favorite were mom and grandma. She cherished hugs, snuggles and quality time with her kids and grandkids, and encouraged loving each other and making memories. If you had the opportunity to meet and know Missy, you would automatically love her.

This beautiful spirit left us here on earth on Thursday, May 8, 2025, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was 55 years old. Missy leaves behind her children, Taylor (Mercedes) Drager, Tanner (Madeline) Drager; mother, June Mason; sister, Debbie (Kris) Lemm; fiancé, Daniel Taylor; grandchildren, Kayzlee and Maverick Drager; step-children, Heather Taylor, Justin (Taylor) Taylor, Alissa (Matt) Oeffling, Jeremy Taylor; step-grandchildren, Trenton, Payton and Gavin Stromberg, Orrin and Harper Taylor, Hannah Oeffling, Dakota Marshall , McKinley and Lilly Taylor; nieces, Ashley Abrahamson, Megan (Cody) Biggs; great nephews, Carter and Owen Biggs, Oakley Abrahamson-Flavin. She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Hillmer; stepfather, Robert Mason; grandparents, Frank and Ora Radimecky, Lawrence and Verena Hillmer; and the father of her children, Steven C. Drager.
