Mark L Hadash

Mark Hadash 52-year-old of St. Joseph, Born and raised in Browerville, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023, at his home, surrounded by his family after a strong fight with pancreatic cancer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at the St. Mary of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Long Prairie at 10:00 AM with a visitation at the church one hour prior. Burial will take place at a later date at his wife's family cemetery in Dassel.

Mark was born on October 28, 1970, to Edward & Bernice Hadash in Browerville, Minnesota.  He was the youngest of 5 children. He grew up on the family farm and graduated from Browerville High School in 1989 and Bemidji State University with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in history in 1993.  He student-taught in Milledgeville, Georgia, and was a substitute teacher in the Lakeville School district before starting his own Contracting Company.

As a youngster, he loved riding bicycle, playing football and baseball,  and was always ready to be on the go.  He was extremely good at cards, board games, trivia, and puzzles.  He loved researching genealogy to the point where he published a book of his family ancestry.  He enjoyed meeting many extended family members through genealogy. Mark also was very talented at roofing & remodeling projects.

In 2007, Mark was married to the love of his life, Ann Olson in Dassel, Minnesota.  They made their home in St. Joseph, Minnesota.  Mark and Ann enjoyed taking vacations, camping, going to church festivals and town festivals, music concerts, biking, baking together, and spending time with family and friends. 

Mark was so good with people and the youth. He coached girl's softball for Hawley, he took great pride in the team's sportsmanship and advancement to the National tournament. Mark and Ann loved being a host family for foreign exchange students from Germany, Italy, Brazil, and Denmark just to name a few. He loved taking them on trips and showing them historical and geographic landmarks.

Mark was a meticulous person, whether it was cutting the lawn or working on a home renovation, he made sure it was just so or exactly how the people wanted it.  He was a true servant to others, always lending a helping hand. Mark was a man that rarely said no to someone. The only exception was if it would interfere with his Minnesota Vikings game schedule. Sundays in the Fall – it was 100% Minnesota Vikings Football and Pizza.  There wasn’t a Pizza Mark didn’t like! His wisdom and sense of humor will surely be missed by the people who knew him.

He is welcomed to heaven by his loving parents and sisters Linda and Cindy. He is survived by his Wife Ann; Brothers, Richard (Sharon) Hadash, Miltona, MN, and Edward A. (Jill) Hadash, Burnsville, MN; Brother-in-Law Allan (Pam) Olson, Dassel, MN.
