Marin Hansen, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, October 1, 2022. He was 66 years old.

A memorial service will take place on Friday, October 14, 2022, at the Iten Funeral Home Chapel in Browerville at 3:00 PM. Visitation will take place one hour prior at the funeral home.

Marin Chris Hansen was born on August 17, 1956, the son of Harold and Jeanette J (Lind) Hansen of Bertha, Minnesota.  He graduated from Eagle Bend High School in 1974 and went on to marry the love of his life, Jeanette Beach, on October 22, 1977, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church.  The two began their adventure together in rural Eagle Bend and were quickly blessed with three beautiful daughters, Sasha, Jasmin, and Megan. During this time, Marin started the stone masonry business he would later name “Stone House”. Marin then went on to design and build the family’s present-day home on a beautiful plot of land north of Eagle Bend. Marin’s keen eye and attention to detail made him a sought-after craftsman throughout the area, leading to many beautiful fireplaces, custom remodels, and impressive facades.

When he was not working, Marin could often be found tending to his yard and garden, tinkering in the garage, filling his many bird feeders, or woodworking. He was a man that had the ability to fix just about anything, so he rarely had a dull moment. He was also known to enjoy an occasional PBR pilsner, often while cheering for (or yelling at) his favorite Minnesota Vikings. He shared his generous and caring heart with others, often sending thoughtful and loving emoji-filled text messages to his family. He was known as an expert pancake flipper to his grandchildren, and his pancakes were highly requested when the grandkids visited. Marin loved and cherished his family and never wasted an opportunity to tell them how he felt.

Marin passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at their home, on Saturday, October 1, 2022. Marin was 66 years old. He leaves behind his loving wife, Jeanette; children, Sasha and Travis Drayna, Jasmin Hansen, and Megan Hansen; son-in-law, Erik Line; his five grandsons, Kolbi, Jonas, Broden, Noah, and Maddox; his granddaughter, Paxton; siblings, Renee (Leonard) Nack of New Castle, Wyoming, and Curtis (Bonnie) Hansen of Sartell. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Jeanette J Hansen; father and mothers-in-law, Myron (Dorothy) Beach, and Victoria Beach; nephew, Chris Hansen.
