At the age of 105, God called Marilynn Elizabeth Johnson home. She passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her family, getting special care from Douglas County Hospice and the Galeon Staff of Osakis.

A memorial service celebrating a life well lived will take place on Friday, August 7, 2026, at the Sauk Valley Lutheran Church in Osakis at 2:00 PM. A visitation will take place one hour before the service at the church. Burial will follow at the church Cemetery.
