Marilyn returned to active nursing in 1968 and worked in several different positions from ICU/CCU nurse to day supervisor to Director of Nursing to infection control and medical staff quality assurance. She received her epidemiology credentials from the CDC in Atlanta, GA and USC School of Medicine in San Diego, CA, doing her graduated studies at Chapman College in Orange, CA.
