Lyle Meyer, 51-year-old man of Clarissa, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025, as a result of an ATV accident.
A funeral in his honor will take place on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at the Shepherd of the Valley Church in Clarissa, Minnesota at 11:00 AM. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at church from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and will continue the day of the funeral at the church one hour prior to the service. The burial will immediately follow the funeral at Woodman Cemetery follow in the funeral.
Lyle Lee Meyer, 51, of Clarissa, passed away suddenly on June 27, leaving behind cherished memories and a lasting impact on all who knew him. Lyle was born on June 18, 1974, in Browerville, Minnesota, to Dennis and Sandra Meyer. From an early age, he showed a strong spirit and a kind heart, traits that would shape his life and relationships. He worked for the Long Prairie Packing for 25 years, making his way to the Vice President of Operations position. In his free time, he loved spending time with family whether it was hunting, fishing, camping, grilling, or just all being together.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Heidi Meyer; his sister, Linda Meyer; and his grandparents, Walter Meyer and Meta Frietag and Laurel and Dorothy Forrest. Their memories lived on in Lyle's stories, his laughter, and the way he cared for others.
Lyle is survived by his loving parents, Dennis and Sandra Meyer of Hackensack, MN; his sister, Lisa Mergen of Albany, MN; his children Derek (Amanda), Samantha (Steve), Cory (Zoe), Ethan (Jalynn); his grandson Marley Meyer; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Lyle’s memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched with his warmth, loyalty, and quiet strength.
