Lillian Martha was born February 24, 1926, in Reynolds Township, Todd County, to Frank & Edith (Pettit) Boyer. She married Sakri Kanniainen in 1942. Lillian worked at an egg station where she candled eggs, managed the laundromat in Little Falls with Sakri, and for many years worked as a home health aide in Little Falls until her retirement. She was active in the Moose Lodge in Little Falls, where she was famous for her spaghetti sauce for their fundraiser. After retirement and the death of Sakri in 1999, Lillian married Gasper in 2001. They made their home in Clarissa until moving to Browerville where Gasper passed in 2019. She enjoyed fishing, embroidering, going to the casino, canning all sorts of fruits and veggies, playing pull tabs, and especially hosting family get togethers.
Lillian is preceded in death by her parents; husband Sakri, husband Gasper, daughter Debra Kanniainen, stepson Gasper Jr., grandchildren: Doug, John, Ryan, and Kelly, and her many brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children: Kenneth (Roxie) Kanniainen, Rodney (Bev) Kanniainen, Richard (Carol) Kanniainen; stepchildren: Jeff (Kim) Wolf, Dean (Sharon)Wolf, Chris (Kurt) Niemeyer; sister Phyllis Krause; 10 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.
