LeeRoy Henry Host the 12th child of Eugene and Roselind (Luke) Host, was born on February 7, 1953 in Long Prairie, MN. He graduated from Browerville High School in 1971 and then worked on his parents farm for a few years. LeeRoy married Debra Rasmussen on March 3, 1973. To this union, 3 daughters were born, Charity, Kaja, and Brittney. Debra sadly passed away from cancer in 1995. He worked at Hart Trailer Sales from 1976 until 1992 before working at Pleasureland RV on and off again throughout the years. In 2001 he started Host Country RV Repair and continued that work until 2019.
Throughout his life, LeeRoy lived in Browerville, Foley, Little Falls, Hewitt, and spent many summers at Rush Lake Tent and Trailers. He was a handyman for everything. LeeRoy fixed and painted cars, trucks, tractors, campers, and motor homes, he also built and remodeled homes. His favorite vehicle to work on was Dodges. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, an excellent cook, and was very artistic.
LeeRoy Henry Host passed away on June 12, 2023 surrounded by his family, in Browerville at the age of 70. He is survived by his daughters, Charity (Chris) Littler, Kaja Brix, and Brittney (Karl) Koval; grandchildren, Gavin, Kaiden, Landon, Blayson, and Juliana; sisters, Carol Lisson, Sharon (Doug) Waletzko, and Joan (Arnie) Abrahamson; and brothers, Bob (Sharon) Host, Jerry Host, John (Marge) Host, Leon (Julie) Host, and Randy Host. LeeRoy was preceded in death by his wife, Debra Host; parents, Eugene and Roselind Host; sisters, Eugenia Lisson and Arlis Bolitho; brothers, Larry and Norman Host; and godson, Brian Abrahamson.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00-4:00 PM on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at the Clarissa Ballroom. Burial will follow at 4:30 PM at Christ the King Catholic Cemetery in Browerville, MN.
