A visitation will take place on Friday, January 10, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the Iten Funeral Home in Browerville, MN. Burial will immediately follow at the Christ the King Catholic Cemetery in Browerville. The family and friends will be meeting after the burial for a time of sharing and reflection at the 12 Mile.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.

Kim Renee was born on July 10, 1961, the daughter of Frank and Maradee (Michaelson) Petron of Minneapolis. She was the little sister to Rhonda, Terry and Rodney. Kim attended Forest Lake High School, after high school she married Richard Hauck and started her family. Chad was welcomed home first, follow by twin daughters, Tasha and Keisa. Kim raised her children in North Branch until relocating to Long Prairie in 1987, to be closer to family. Two years later, Kim welcomed Alicia in 1989 with Tom Tabatt. Kim operated her own daycare for many years, often selling Tupperware on the side. She also worked for a number of years at a mortgage company. She owned and operated Big Swan Lake Resort with husband Mark Sullivan and soon welcomed Kylah into the world in 1998. Kim relocated her family to Ulen for a couple years, but eventually moved back to Long Prairie, missing the family connection.

When Kim was younger, you could often find her out riding horseback or fishing on an area lake. Her vegetable and flower gardens, were always bountiful, providing food and beauty for her family. When she couldn't be outside, she would use her down time to cook family meals or crochet. Stubborn is a trait she could be described as at times, but this characteristic also helped her to provide and raise her family. Her big heart was always giving or caring for others.

On Thursday, January 2, 2025, Kim passed away at the St. Cloud Hospital surrounded by family. She was 63 years old. She leaves behind children, Chad Hauck of St. Cloud, Keisa (Lucas) Malloy of Sauk Rapids, Alicia (Nicholas Rahn- fiance) Baum of St. Cloud, and Kylah (Remington) Meagher of Fargo, ND; mother, Maradee Landholm: grandchildren, Ellie and Morgan Retka, Ty and Lydia Hauck, Kaylee, Ben and Layla Baum; brothers, Terry Petron of Manderville, NC, and Rodney (Debbie) Petron of Mounds View; cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Petron; daughter, Tasha Shutter; sister, Rhonda Petron; grandmother, Pearl Michaelson-Davis and many aunts and uncles.
