Kathryn Alexander, 72 year old of Clarissa, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the St. Cloud Hospital. 

A funeral service will take place in her honor on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Clarissa at 11:00 AM. Visitation will take place at the church in Monday, November 17, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and will continue the day of the funeral one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at the church cemetery, immediately following the service.

Kathryn Lila was born in Eagle Bend, Minnesota, the daughter of Arnold and Lila (Hess) Hinzmann. Kathryn graduated from Clarissa High School, and later married Randy Alexander, their union was blessed with three children, Jeremy, Jared and Jamie. The young couple raised their children in rural Clarissa on their dairy farm. When Kathryn was not busy taking care of her family or helping with farm work you could find her in the kitchen whipping up delicious meals and baked goods. She tended to a bountiful flower garden, and in the evenings loved to sit and relax while watching some of her favorite shows -Survivor, Sister Wives, and others. Camping was a fun summer activity that the whole family would get involved in. She was always quick with her wit and never missed a chance to sass around the campfire. Kathryn’s happiest moments were spent with her family. She adored her children, but her grandchildren, well, she had a huge soft spot for them.  

Following her fall, Kathryn’s strength and determination sustained her for as long as possible. When her body could no longer keep up with her sassy spirit, she passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at St. Cloud Hospital, at the age of 72.

She leaves behind her husband of 51 years, Randy Alexander; children, Jeremy, Jared (Kim) and Jamie (Ryan) Hernandez; grandchildren, Matayo, Lyla, Jace, Ginni, Zephyn, and Ian; brothers, Dave (Judy) Hinzmann, Jerry Hinzmann, Dennis (Pat) Hinzmann, Harlan (Shirley) Hinzmann, Keith (Colleen) Hinzmann; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Lila Hinzmann; brother Jim (Drew) Hinzmann; and sister-in-law, Glennis Hinzmann.
