Joan Wettstein, 78, of Long Prairie, passed away on August 20, 2021.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, 11:00 a.m., at St. Mary’s of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Long Prairie with Fr. Mitchell Bechtold officiating.  Interment will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Long Prairie.

Joan Mary was born September 19, 1942, in rural Browerville to Anthony & Olivia (Klimek) Pampy.  She married Norman Wettstein at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Browerville on September 24, 1962.  Joan worked at Austin Mutual Insurance Company in Minneapolis, the Sears catalog store in Long Prairie, Todd County Oil for many years, Mobil and Holiday.  She enjoyed gardening, canning, watching birds, and her cats, especially Angel.  In her younger years she was an accomplished bowler. 

Joan is preceded in death by her parents and husband Norman.  She is survived by her siblings:  Edna (David Sternitzke) Pampy of Santa Clara, CA, John (Barb) Pampy of Ronan, MT, niece Jennifer Pampy, great nieces Nicole Marie and Emma Leigh and many cousins.
