Jim was born April 23, 1943, in St. Paul to Arthur & Eileen (Bassett) Marlow. He married Carol Martin on August 1, 1964, in Staples. Jim worked for Starry construction, owned Marlow Construction and for 15 years hauled potatoes for Oberg’s and Peterson’s Farms. Jim also worked two summers in Nome, Alaska; he loved to share his pictures and stories from Alaska with family and friends.
He enjoyed deer hunting and having a beer with family and friends. Jim will be missed by many that saw him driving around town and his home in the country. He was a devoted husband and his family meant the world to him. He loved visiting his grandson Levi’s home every day.
Jim is survived by his wife Carol; children: Lisa (Steve) Riggs of International Falls, James “Jay” Marlow of Parkers Prairie, Jodi Marlow of Eagle Bend; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and his “guard dog”, Lucy.
