Jeanette was born and raised in Long Prairie on September 18, 1947, to Glen & Edna (Dettler) Hodge.  She grew up in the Long Prairie area working at the Munsingwear in Little Falls, area nursing homes and Sears.  Jeanette met Don Boyer; they married on February 12, 1991 and moved to Minneapolis.  Jeanette went back to college and worked as a secretary for the Institute of Athletic Medicine.  After her retirement, Jeanette moved to Isle.  She enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, bird watching, casino trips and spending time with family and friends.  She also enjoyed spending the winters at her place in Texas.

Jeanette is preceded in death by her parents, Glen & Edna, stepdad, Andrew Gmahl; husband Don, brother Glen and Sister Marlis.  She is survived by her son Virgil (Cindy) Berndt; grandchildren:  Mandy (Randy Quante) Berndt, Tyler Berndt, Samantha (Lucas) Fuchs; great grandchildren: Gannen, Sawyer, Savannah, Raya, Carson and special friend Jim “Fuzzy” Deminsky.
