Heidi Meyer passed away suddenly, on Friday, December 6, 2024, at the Centra Care Long Prairie Hospital.

She was 50 years young.

A funeral service in her honor will take place on Saturday, December 14th, 2024, at the Shepherd of the Valley Church in Clarissa at 11:00 AM. Visitation will take place at the church on Friday, December 13, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church the day of the service.

Born on July 10, 1974, in Wadena, Minnesota, Heidi was the daughter of loving parents and grew up deeply appreciating family, kindness, and hard work. Heidi's warmth, dedication, and generous spirit left a lasting impact on everyone she encountered. Heidi married the love of her life, Lyle Meyer, on September 11, 1999, in a beautiful ceremony surrounded by family and friends. Their love and partnership were the foundation of their 25-year marriage, and together they raised four wonderful children who were the center of Heidi's world.

Throughout her life, Heidi was known for her compassion and unwavering commitment to others. She loved spending time with her family in any form possible. It didn’t matter if it was at home singing karaoke in the garage or out camping and enjoying the outdoors. She worked as a nurse at Clarissa Care Center for many years.

Heidi is survived by her loving husband, Lyle Meyer; her four children, Derek (Amanda), Samantha (Steve), Cory (Zoe), Ethan (Jalynn); her grandchild Marley; her siblings, Kim (Scott) Morrissey and Gary (Jill) Solid; and many extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joanne and Bob, cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. Heidi’s family will forever cherish her memory, and her love and devotion will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her laughter, kindness, and strength of spirit will be deeply missed.
