Gasper John was born March 19, 1957, in Sault St. Marie, Michigan to  Gasper Sr. & Sheila (Hoffman) Wolf.  He graduated from the Clarissa High School in 1976 and attended the Staples Vo-Tech for one year.  Gasper was a collector of numerous items, especially stick-on calendars and match books.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing. 

Gasper is preceded in death by his parents, Gasper Sr. and Sheila, niece Kelly Bentz and numerous aunts and uncles.  He is survived by his stepmother Lillian Kanniainen Wolf; siblings:  Jeff (Kim) Wolf, Dean Wolf, Chris (Kurt) Niemeyer, stepsiblings:  Ken (Roxia) Kanniainen, Rod (Bev) Kanniainen, Rick (Carol) Kanniainen and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
