Florence Rickbeil, 94-year-old of Clarissa, formerly of Browerville, passed away on December 25, 2025, at the Central Todd County Care Center in Clarissa.
A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Christ the King Catholic Church in Browerville. Visitation will take place on Friday, January 2, 2026, at the Iten Funeral Home Chapel. Rosary will be prayed at 4:00 PM, followed by a visitation with a prayer service at 7:30 PM. Visitation will continue the day of the funeral from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the church. Burial will immediately follow the mass at the Evergreen Cemetery in Browerville.
Florence Rickbeil, beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 2025.Florence passed away peacefully at her residence of seven years, the Central Todd County Care Center in Clarissa, MN. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering support touched all who knew her.
Florence was born March 28, 1931, to John and Mary (Hudalla) Luke, the youngest of four children. She Graduated from Browerville High School in 1948. Florence dedicated her life to nurturing her family and contributing positively to her community, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and generosity. She married Leland Rickbeil on June 24, 1952, at St Peter’s Church in Browerville. She was Employed at Browerville High School as Secretary and Business Manager from 1960 until retirement in 1994. In her retirement she served as Director of the Browerville Food Shelf from 1998-2018, was treasurer of the Todd County Council on Ageing, and spent many hours caring for her grandchildren. She was a Life-long member of St. Peter’s and then Christ the King Church and sang in the Choir
Florence was preceded in death by her parents, brother Ray, sister Roselind (Host), and brother Joe. Her Husband Leland passed in 1974, Daughter in Law Marie (Grimm) Rickbeil in 2017, and son Ronald in 2023.
Following Leland’s death, Florence became a widow and single parent to their five children. Florence supported each of her children’s dreams as they established lives and families of their own. Florence is survived by her sons Hollis (Pamela Ostrowski), Terry, and Kevin (Ruth Mihulka), her daughter Dawn (Greg Feda), daughter-in-law Judy (Drayna)Rickbeil, 12 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.

As we say goodbye, we celebrate a well-lived life and the countless lives she touched along the way. May her memory be a blessing and her legacy of compassion continue to inspire all who knew her.
