Drusilla Jean (Heldt) Hinzmann

Drusilla Hinzmann, 83 yr old of Clarissa, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at her home.

A funeral service will take place on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at the Shepherd of the Valley Church in Clarissa at 11:00 AM. Visitation will take place at the church on the day of the service from 9:30 AM until the start of the service. Burial will immediately follow at the church cemetery.  

Drusilla Jean was born on May 13, 1959, the daughter of Harold  “Harry” and Florence (Olson) Heldt of Rural Eagle Bend, Minnesota. She attended high school, then obtained a job at the local bank where she would work for a number of years. She married James “Jim” Hinzmann, their union was blessed with two sons, Terry and Michael. Dru was a meticulous woman, whether it be her dress, her home, or yard. She worked hard on keeping things just so. She enjoyed the comforts of her own home, cherishing the memories made there. She was devoted to her husband and children, doting on them making sure their needs and wants became a reality. Dru puttered in the kitchen whipping up delicious meals and baking her legendary chocolate chip cookies! Always, having a few extra to send home with people. Wednesday mornings were reserved for her friends to gather at her house for coffee and to catch up on personal and local news. Dru’s grandchildren brought a sparkle to her eye. She loved to spoil them and make sure the perfect gift was ready for them on their birthdays and Christmas. Her evenings were spent resting in her chair watching TV and visiting on the phone. Dru’s warm personality will be missed.

Dru left us here on earth on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at the age of eighty-three. She leaves behind her sons, Terry (Sheryl) Hinzmann and Michael (Karen) Hinzmann; grandchildren, Nicholas (Rachel), Alisha, Amaya, and Carter Hinzmann; brother, Howard (Sandy) Heldt; many friends and extended family members. She joined in heaven, her husband Jim; parents, Harry and Florence Heldt; siblings, Harold Juday, Emma Otterson, and Barbara Zimmermann.
