Devona Marie Berry, age 90, of Clotho, MN, passed away at Centra Care Hospital in Long Prairie on Tuesday, December 9, 2025.

Devona was born in Burleene Township to Harry and Annie Peterson on October 22, 1935.  She was the first in her family to graduate from high school in Eagle Bend, MN.  After graduating, Devona worked in the Twin Cities before returning to Long Prairie to work at Hart Press.

On July 6, 1957, Devona married her sweetheart, Boyd Berry. Devona was kept busy raising their five children.  In addition, Devona was a 4-H leader, served as an officer on the Pleasant Valley Cemetery Association board, and was active in the Clotho UMW for many years.

After the children were grown, she worked part-time at Main Street Press in Sauk Centre and Tanya’s Daycare in Long Prairie, MN.

Devona enjoyed music and could play the accordion, piano, and dulcimer.  She liked to bake, so treats were always available, whether you wanted any or not. 

Devona is survived by her children; Denise (Marlo) Kasper, Dione (Douglas) Lowe, Michael (Curt Felix) Berry, Greg (Gwen) Berry, and Renita (Brian) Arndt; daughter in law, Donna Phelps Berry; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.

Devona is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; all of her siblings; and grandson Dylan Berry.
