Dennis Starry age 71 of rural Long Prairie, Minnesota,  passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at his home. At this time there will be no services.

A private family service will take place at a later date. 

Dennis was born August 28, 1950, in Long Prairie to Clarence (Fredrick) and Una (Thiegs) Starry.  He attended Long Prairie High School.  Dennis began repairing motors at Starry Electric and eventually started Denny's Electric Motor Service at his residence.

In his spare time, he enjoyed learning and playing new music on his keyboard.  He loved target shooting in his backyard.  He especially loved it when his daughter and grandchildren would come and spend the day shooting with him (even in December).  He was known for having a kind heart and a helping hand for anyone in need.  He had a sense of humor and life stories that would always make his family laugh.

He is survived by his wife Lynnae, his daughter Connie Althaus of Melrose, grandchildren Justin, Cody (Mary), Michaela (Cody), great grandson Mason, and his sister Pearl Ruud.

Dennis is proceeded in death by his parents Clarence (Fredrick) and Una (Nip) Starry and his sister LouAnn Schultz.
