Dennis Bednarz passed away on Friday, April 25, 2025, at the Lakewood Health System Hospital in Staples. He was 87 years old. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the Christ the King Catholic Church in Browerville. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place at a later date at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls.

Dennis Donald was welcomed into the world on a hot July 31, 1937, by his parents Tony and Mary Bednarz of Long Prairie, Minnesota. Dennis attended grade school, as he got older he had to stay home and work on his family farm, when he was old enough, he joined the United States Army. After being honorably discharged and then moved to Minneapolis where he held a variety of jobs, always working. On July 25, 1964, Dennis married the love of his life Joyce Marie Liebsch, in Minneapolis.  The couple lived in the twin cities until 1993 when the couple moved permanently to their home in rural Browerville.

When Dennis was not working, he always had a four-legged companion by his side, he loved his pets, and they had a number of cherished dogs over the years. Dennis loved to be outside, and he spent countless hours in the garden, tending and harvesting.

On Friday, April 25, 2025, Dennis took his last breath here on earth. He was 87 years old. He leaves behind his wife of sixty years, Joyce; brothers, Jerry (Jeanne) Bednarz, Tony (Deb) Bednarz.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Mary Bednarz; siblings, Eleanor Delkoski, Rose Currie, Beatrice (Lloyd) Laumeyer, Joe Bednarz, Jim Bednarz and David (Mary) Bednarz. Arrangements for Dennis are with the Iten Funeral Home of Browerville.
