On Thursday, September 8, 2022, Debbie Johnson, loving wife and mother of three children passed away at age 67.
A visitation will be held at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church on September 16, 2022, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Debbie’s funeral will be held at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church at 11:00 AM on September 17, 2022, with a visitation beginning at 10:00 AM.
Debbie had a kind and selfless soul. Her heart was filled with a never-ending love that she poured into everything she did. She had a passion for life that was contagious. Her memory will live on through every person she touched.
Debbie was born Debra Kay Schlosser on December 15, 1954, to Nicholas and Delores Schlosser in Bemidji, Minnesota. She grew up and attended grade school in Saint Paul, Minnesota and graduated from Rosemount High School. On September 1, 1978, she married Stanley Johnson. They raised three sons, Nick, Justin, and Wade.
Debbie worked over 30 years at the Todd County Care Center, showing her great compassion for others. She had a variety of hobbies including Monday night bowling league at Eagle Lanes, Ladybugs Garden Club, Women’s Auxiliary, Pink Flamingos, quilting, and gardening. Sunday coffee with Marian, Renee, Julie (and their spouses) was an important weekly event for Debbie. She embraced every moment with her grandchildren and often took them to plays.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Nick and Pat Schlosser, and grandparents Clarence and Elnora Bjerke. She is survived by her husband Stanley Johnson; her children, Nick and Jenny Johnson, Justin Johnson and Shannon Ecklund, and Wade and Claire Johnson; three grandchildren, Trenton, Ryan, and Hank; as well as her siblings, Terry, Mark, Kelly, and Tammy.
