Connie Pesta, age 89 passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Central Todd County Care Center, Clarissa, Minnesota. 

A Funeral service will take place on Monday, May 18, 2026, at 11:00 AM at American Lutheran Church in Long Prairie, Minnesota. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church.

Connie Lou Pesta, beloved Mom, Grandma, and friend, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the age of 89.

She was born on August 18, 1936, in Boone, Iowa, to Martin and Honey Thom, weighing less than four pounds at birth. Connie graduated from Long Prairie High School in 1955.

Throughout her life, Connie worked at Father’s Gamble Store, Munsingwear in Minneapolis, an auto parts store, and as a cook at Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota.

Connie was united in marriage to Raymond Pesta on April 3, 1958, in Webster, South Dakota. Raymond’s employment led them to move several times, living in Truman, Albert Lea, Long Prairie, Northfield, Tomah, Wisconsin, and eventually coming full circle back to Long Prairie. Connie was a member of American Lutheran Church in Long Prairie and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Connie had a wonderful eye for beauty and detail. She enjoyed landscaping, interior decorating, and antique shopping. She also gave her full attention to Vikings football.

Connie is survived by her daughter, Corey (Kenny) Kliber; son, Neil (Brenda) Pesta; grandchildren, Logan and Jordan; brother, Dick (Luella) Thom; and niece and nephew, Jennifer and Jason.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Honey Thom; husband, Raymond; and son, Kevin.
