Carol "Jeanne" Lupkes passed away peacefully on Monday, May 8, 2023, at the Central Todd County Care Center in Clarissa. Jeanne was 82 years old.

Carol Jean Lupkes, 82, of Clarissa, passed away Monday, May 8, 2023 at Central Todd County Care Center, Clarissa MN. She was born July 17, 1940, in Adrian MN, to Charles & Clara (Bullerman) Henning. Carol (Jeanne) was married to Francis Lupkes on April 28, 1962, they were married 48 years. 

After graduating from St Adrian in 1959, she moved to Rochester for a short time before moving back to Adrian, where she met and wed Francis Lupkes. They moved several times and eventually landed in Browerville where they lived until Carol moved on final time to the Central Todd County Care Center in 2019. She worked for Land-O-Lakes for 33 years, after retirement they started over-the-road hauling, which blended work with her love to travel.  

She enjoyed gardening, reading, traveling, playing Bingo, card games and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.  

Carol (Jeanne) is survived by her three children Lauri (Terry) Hayes of Kansas City, MO, Julie (Bob Engle) Polak of Browerville, and Paul (Velma) Lupkes of Sauk Rapids. She has Six Grandchildren Nathan (Katie) Hayes, Jennifer (Tony) Ade, Jesse (Kristen) Polak, Tiffany (Blake) Klaphake, Jackson (Quinn) Polak and Zachary Lupkes. Seven Great Grandchildren, Courtney, AJ, Makayla, Clara, Avery, Lilyana, Hayden. Three brothers and two sisters Virgil (Hap) Henning, Alfred Henning, Lester (Les) Henning, Donna Deutsch, Betty Deutsch. 

Carol (Jeanne) is preceded in death by her husband Francis Lupkes, granddaughter. Jacqueline Hayes, parents Charles & Clara Henning, Siblings Norbert, Rosie Woltjer, MaryAnn Reining, Vern, Frank, Cecil Altman.
