Ashley Nicole (Kruse)Gray

A Celebration of Life service will take place on October 30th, 2021, at the Residence of Kurt Kruse 24471 Lagos Road, Browerville, MN 56348, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Urn Bearers for Ashley’s service are, Tyler Kruse, Kaylene Kruse, Thomas, Trey, and Teryn Bosek.

Ashley Nicole was born in Staples, MN on August 26th, 1988, to Kurt Kruse and Renata Bosek. Ashley graduated from Winona High School in 2006 and went on to get her degree in Network Administration. She began working for St. Mary’s University in Winona, MN, and later accepted a position in 2019 with Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado, where she left her legacy by creating a network infrastructure that will be used for years to come. While living and working in Winona, Ashley met David Ranzenberger Gray and were united in marriage on February 2, 2020 (02/02/2020, a palindrome) at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. Ashley had an undying love for her and David’s dog Zeek and cat Kirby. She and David’s animal companions were a focal point in their lives.

Ashley was born with Marfan’s Syndrome and spent her lifetime battling yet advocating for this debilitating connective tissue disorder. She had a love for life and a laugh that was contagious and can still be heard by all. Ashley went above and beyond to advocate for those who were less fortunate and needed an extra voice. “She was a fighter like no other.” Ashley defied all odds and was loved and adored by anyone who met her.

Ashley Nicole (Kruse – Gray), 33 of Longmont, Colorado, passed away on September 15th, 2021 in Longmont, Colorado. She is survived by her husband David; her parents Kurt Kruse and Renata Bosek; Stepparents, Sandra Kruse, and David Bye; brothers, Tyler Kruse, Thomas, Trey, and Teryn Bosek; sister, Kaylene Kruse; her grandfather, Jerome Steinberger; paternal grandparents, Dick Kruse and Donna Kruse; several aunts and uncles, great aunts and uncles, and countless cousins.

Ashley is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Wilma Steinberger and James Leroy Glaser.
