Dewayne Martin Skillings

Dewayne Martin Skillings age 86 of Browerville, MN passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 12 surrounded by his family.

Dewayne was born January 16, 1933 to Elbert and Henrietta of Long Prairie, Mn. He was one of 13 children. Dewayne served in the U.S. Navy from 1952 to 1956 during the Korean War. A time of which he was extremely proud.

Dewayne raised his family on a farm north of Browerville where he developed his passion for John Deere tractors. He married the love of his life Corrine Rostock in 1989. They enjoyed traveling and spending quality time with their family.

He worked at many places in Todd County but is mainly known for his employment at Hart’s Press where he worked until he retired in 1993.

Dewayne is survived by his children Wade Skillings (Cindy) Browerville; Wendy Skillings (Gertie), Eagan; Sandy Manor (Bert), Woodbury; Gregg Westerberg (Denise), Columbia Heights; grandchildren Hannah (Jeff), Megan (Kolby), Matt (Lauren), Stephen (Sarah); Joelle (Jim), Alyssa, Tyler (Emma) , Kelsey; Great-grandkids Simon, Finn, Edith J, Donovan, Delaney, Ayden, Adelyn, Isla, Aubrey, Stella, Edith O and Hazel;

Sister Rose Mercer (Lincoln, NE); Stepchildren Karen, Kevin and Kenny Winkler and their families, many loving nieces and nephews and an abundance of friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife Corrine, his parents, 11 siblings, and other loving family members.
