Charlotte (Luebben) Olson

Charlotte was born December 14, 1928 to Ernest & Barbara (Haux) Baumgard at home in Black Butte, N.D. near Regent.  Charlotte’s family moved to Brewster, MN when she was in the first grade.  She graduated from Brewster in 1946.  Charlotte married Herbert Luebben on February 18, 1951.  They moved to Clarissa in 1953 where they dairy farmed until Herb’s passing in 1985.  Charlotte married Carmon Olson on October 9, 1993.  Following their marriage, they continued living on the Olson family farm until moving into Parkers Prairie in 1998.

Charlotte loved to quilt and gave many beautiful quilts as gifts.  She enjoyed gardening, dancing, playing cards and riding her bike around town well into her 80’s.  Charlotte was an excellent cook and baker.  She worked at Art’s Café, Bookers Café, Fingerhut and the Central Todd County Care Center.

Charlotte is survived by her sons: Gary Lee (Janna) Luebben of Zimmerman, Larry Herbert (Pam) Luebben of Hudson and Roger Duane (Chris) Luebben of Browerville; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; brother-in-law August Onken; sister-in-law Irene Williams along with numerous nieces and nephews. 

Charlotte is preceded in death by her parents; husband Herbert on June 14, 1985, husband Carmon on April 19, 2011, sisters:  Clara Onken and Arlene Foote, brother Albert Baumgard, brother-in-law Dale Foote and nephew Ron Foote.
