Bud Wanderscheid Obituary

Bud Wanderscheid, 80, of Clarissa, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2019 at his residence.

Bud was born August 21,1939, in Le Mars, IA, to Roman & Celesta (Ruba) Wanderscheid. He enlisted in the US Navy in 1957 and was honorably discharged in 1960. Bud was a heavy equipment operator for several years, but farming was his true joy; he was proud of his farm. Bud loved flying, he owned his own plane complete with an air strip and a hangar on the farm. Flying brought Bud peace; he would fly several times a day. Bud also loved his dog “Butch”, his loyal friend, who went with him everywhere.

Bud is preceded in death by his parents and brother Dick.

Bud is survived by his children: Steve (Renee) Wanderscheid of Omaha, NE, Brenda (Martin) Casado of Atlanta, GA, Keith Wanderscheid of Sauk Centre, Barbara (Rick) Smith of Anoka, Michael (Erin) Wanderscheid of Sauk Centre; long-time companion Char Ylitalo of Clarissa; 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; siblings: Connie (Ken) Plueger of Le Mars, IA and Jim (Sharon) Wanderscheid of Nemo, SD.
