Allen Drayna

  Allen Andrew Drayna was born on March 28, 1942 in Long Prairie, MN to Charles and Mary (Pollack) Drayna.  Al graduated from Browerville High School in 1960 after which he enlisted in the Army National Guard.   He was united in marriage to Ann Rinde on July 5, 1975 in Las Vegas, NV.  Al was a self-employed businessman who started his career in construction and farming, later expanding to the horses, dairy and livestock he had such a love and passion for.  He retired from the farm in 2011.  Al made friends wherever he went, loved his wife, kids and grandkids and shared his faith in God with almost every single one.  He will be remembered for his work ethic,  generous heart, sense of humor, storytelling ability and his sometimes-colorful vocabulary.  He passed away peacefully at home with Ann by his side on Wednesday, May 1, 2019.  Al is preceded in death by his Brother Gerald Drayna and Sisters Doris Richards and Eleanor Frank. Al is survived by his 5 children and their spouses Christian & Stephanie Drayna of Milaca, MN; Jessica VanZee of Buckman, MN; Melissa & Shawn Ashbaugh of Eagle Bend, MN; Travis & Sasha Drayna of Los Alamos, NM; Matthew & Ashley Drayna of Ellsworth, ME; siblings: Alice Steinmetz of Browerville, MN; Carol Sturm of Brooklyn Center, MN and Michael Drayna of Monticello, MN and 16 grandchildren. Celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 10, 2019  with visitation at 10:00am followed by memorial service at 11:00am at New Life Church of God in Bertha, Minnesota.
