Julie (Forbregd) Stern is a native of rural Osakis and Todd County. She attended Alexandria Technical College graduating with a diploma in practical nursing, which she then worked for the next thirteen years in hospital and clinic patient care. She then returned to college and completed a degree in mortuary science in 2014. Julie feels it is an honor that families choose us to care for their loved one. She is a former Rotarian, and still works hard at living the “service above self” motto. Julie is married to her husband Aaron, they have two daughters Brooke and Kennedy and two dogs, Axel and Lewey. When she is not working, Julie enjoys being outside and spending time with her family and friends. She is looking forward to serving the area communities and their members.
Danielle (Booth) Lehmkuhl is an Alexandria native and graduated from Jefferson Senior High School in 2011. She attended Minnesota State Technical and Community College in Detroit Lakes, graduating with an A.A.S. in Accounting in 2014. After this, Danielle began working as the office manager at Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria where she discovered her passion for funeral service. In 2022, she graduated from Des Moines Area Community College with a degree in Mortuary Science. Danielle has worked in the funeral service industry for almost 10 years and is honored to be able to serve families in the Todd County area. Danielle resides in Carlos, MN and enjoys raising her two sons, Sawyer and Ian, in a small-town community. Outside of the funeral home, she loves staying active, spending time with her family and friends, and enjoys the outdoors with her horse and dogs. Danielle is also passionate about helping animals and almost always has one or two foster dogs or cats in her home.
Have you met Lewey? Lewey is our companion support dog that comes to work most days with Julie. He is 4 years old and loves to have his belly rubbed. He also loves to come sit with visitors and listen, sometimes he takes a nap. Although we love him and he is harmless, if you prefer to not have him with us when we meet, do not be shy about asking us to put him in his designated "nap spot", if we forget to ask.
