Rose Tepley, 96, of Browerville, passed away on February 13, 2010, at the Lakewood Health System in Staples.  Funeral services for Rose will be held on Wednesday, 11:00 a.m.,  February 17, 2010 at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Clarissa.  Friends may call on Tuesday, February 16, 2010, 4:00 - 8:00 p.m., at the Iten Funeral Home in Browerville and on the day of the service beginning  1 hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Browerville.  Casket Bearers were Brian Tepley, Evan Tepley, Bo Tepley, Nick Noska, Gabe Noska, & Henry Noska.


Rose was born April 13,1913 on her family farm in Ward Township, Todd County, to Charles & Anna (Cline) Sadlo.  She attended country school at District # 160 through the 8th grade.   Rose married Henry Tepley on October 14, 1931, in Long Prairie.  Henry & Rose started their life out as farmers. They rented a small farm for 5 years and in 1936 they bought a small farm in Moran Township, where she resided until her death.  Rose loved to play cards, dancing and embroidering, she made many quilts for all her children , grand children and great grandchildren.   Most of the time Rose was a homemaker, but different times she did work out of the home as a cook or waitress at the Pine Cafe in Browerville & in Staples.  Rose also loved to garden and in all her many years she canned fruit and vegetables, she loved her flower gardens as well.  Rose had a very good memory, she could remember all birthdays and anniversary of every relative and many friends.  Rose's most memorable times were spending time with her children and their families, that was the most important thing in her life.  Rose will be sadly missed by her family and all of the lives that she touched.  She was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Clarissa.

Rose is survived by her children:  Louis (MaryAnn) Tepley of Clarissa, Jerry (Wanda) Tepley of Eagle Bend, Richard Tepley of Browerville, Adeline (Chuck) Noska of Browerville and Diana (Klaus) Oefele of Salt Lake City, Utah; 15 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren.

Rose is preceded in death by her parents, Charles & Anna Sadlo, husband Henry, son Gene Tepley, granddaughter Lori Tepley; brothers, George, Elmer; sisters, Agnes, Elizabeth & Helen.
