Eva Steinert, 88, of Browerville, passed away on June 29, 2010, at the Central Todd County Care Center in Clarissa.  Funeral services for Eva were held on Friday, July 2, 2010, 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Nate Loer officiating.  Interment was held at Evergreen Cemetery, Browerville.

Eva was born September 30, 1921 in Little Elk Township, Todd County, to Gus & Emma (Johanson) Nordstrom.  She married Frank Steinert on March 28, 1940 in Long Prairie.  Eva farmed with her husband Frank for many years and also worked at St. John's Hospital for several years.  Eva enjoyed dancing, music, playing cards and going shopping with her daughters and granddaughters.  She especially loved spending time with her family.  Eva was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Browerville and the Quilters Group.

Eva is survived by her children:  Frank (Lorraine) Steinert of North St. Paul, Gene (Jackie) Steinert of Browerville, JoAnn (Dave) Benning of Browerville, Dick (Emily) Steinert of Long Prairie, Donna (Jerry) Smith of Browerville; brother, Einar Nordstrom of St. Paul, sisters:  Dorothy Koester of Browerville, Irene Smith of St. Paul, Alice Loken of Browerville; 16 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Eva is preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson Steve, brothers:  Don and Harold and sisters:  Margaret, Mildred, Evie, Inez and Marie.
