Troy Douglas Selleck, 43 of Staples died suddenly on Sunday, January 18, 2009, at his apartment.  A memorial service for Troy will be held on Sunday, January 25, 2009, 3:00 p.m. at the Staples Church of Christ.  Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.

 

Troy was born in Anderson, Indiana, on November 13, 1965 and was adopted by Paul & LaVonne (Paskewitz) Selleck when he was six.  He lived in Indiana until 1998 when he moved to Staples. 

 

Troy enjoyed gourmet cooking, playing guitar, playing cards with family & friends and watching professional sports, especially the Indianapolis Colts. Troy was a member of the Staples Church of Christ and the men’s Promise Keepers group.

 

Whatever he did was with determination to do his best with extra flair.

 

Troy is survived by his mother, LaVonne Selleck of Staples, sister, Renee Stewart of Staples, brother, Ron Sell of Portland, Oregon, and sons:  Joey of St. Louis, Missouri,  Dustin of Bloomington, Illinois and many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephew.

 

Troy was preceded in death by his father, Paul Selleck.

 

His friendly smile & personality will be remembered by all who knew him.
