Paul F. Poegel, 51, of St. Cloud, formerly of the Swanville-Long Prairie area, passed away suddenly on Friday, November 18, 2011.  Funeral services for Paul were held on Friday, November 25, 2011, 6:00 p.m., at the Iten Funeral Home in Browerville with Pastor Nate Loer officiating.  Interment was held at the Immanuel Cemetery, Long Prairie.

Paul was born May 2, 1960, to the late Marvin Poegel Sr. and Betty Ann (Wiseth) Poegel.  He attended school in Long Prairie and Royalton.  Paul entered the US Army in 1977.  He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, reading , and especially spending time with his son Brandon.

Paul is survived by his son Brandon, 15 of Duluth, mother Betty Poegel of Swanville, stepmother Kathy Poegel of Long Prairie; siblings:  Roxie (Gary) Grell of Swanville, Marvin Jr. (Laurie) Poegel of Swanville, Cheryl (Howard) Hedin of Swanville, Patrick (Cecilia) Poegel of Swanville, Carol (Kenneth) Wimmer of Swanville and  John (Janice) Poegel of Long Prairie.

Paul is preceded in death by his brother Robert E. Poegel and his father Marvin F. Poegel Sr.
