Isabel “Izzy” Perez, age 82, of Browerville, passed away December 3, 2008, at the Lakewood Health System Hospital in Staples.   Funeral services for Izzy were held on Saturday, 12 pm, at Christ the King Church, Browerville with Father Richard Walz officiating.  Interment was held at Christ the King Catholic Cemetery in Browerville.  Casket bearers were Walt Lucas, Sylvester Lucas, Tim Lucas, Tom Lucas, Hank Auge, Ronnie Kveton and the Cross Bearer was Ralph Vankempen.

Izzy was born on November 5, 1926 in Satenta, Kansas to Diego & Frances (Falcon) Perez.  He proudly served in the US Army WWII.  Izzy married Mary Buhl in Mason City, Iowa.  He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, fishing, hunting and bowling. Izzy was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. 

Izzy is survived by his wife Mary of Browerville, daughters:  Stephanie (Thomas) Smolinski of Woodbury, Elaina (Keith) Burres of St. Paul and Theresa Eck of Milaca, grandchildren:  Jennifer (Michael) McKeand, Jacquelyn (Robert) Campbell, Jodee Smolinski and Luciana Burres, great grandchildren:  William, Jonathan, Jayden and McKenzie, brothers:  Manuel and John and many loving relatives. 

Izzy is preceded in death by his parents Diego and Frances Perez, brothers, Felix and Gene, Sister Carmen.
