Dorthy Pentz, 80, of Long Prairie, passed away on November 6, 2009 at the Long Prairie Memorial Nursing Home.  Funeral services for Dorthy were held on Tuesday, November 10, 2009, 11 a.m., at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in Clarissa with Pastor Melissa Ehrhardt officiating.  Interment was held at Evergreen Cemetery in Long Prairie.

Dorthy was born on February 14, 1929, in Iona Township, Todd County, Minnesota, to Razel & Marie (Christensen) Davison.  On July 5, 1961, she married Myron Pentz in South Dakota.  Dorthy enjoyed gardening, birds, traveling and reading.  She was a member of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in Clarissa and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. 

Dorthy is survived by her husband Myron of Long Prairie, son Bill (Janelle) Pentz of Long Prairie, daughter Trish (Brian) Brown of Lino Lakes, and brothers:  Arthur “Bud” Davison of Clarissa, Frank (Laura) Davison of Little Sauk and 3 grandchildren.

Dorthy is preceded in death by her parents, Razel & Marie, stepdad Henry Opager and infant sister.
