Elizabeth Meide, 87, of Staples, passed away on August 27, 2009, at the Central Todd County Care Center in Clarissa.  Funeral services for Elizabeth will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2009, 11:00 a.m., at Christ the King Catholic Church, in Browerville with Fr. Ralph Zimmerman officiating.  Interment was held at Christ the King Catholic Cemetery in Browerville.

Elizabeth was born June 7, 1922 in Ward Township, Todd County, to Joe & Alice (Sadlo) Motl.  She married Leo Meide on September 28, 1943 at St. Peters Catholic Church in Browerville.  Elizabeth and Leo moved to Kenosha, Wisconsin in 1952.  She worked at American Motors Corp in Kenosha until her retirement in 1982.  Elizabeth and Leo moved back to Minnesota in 1982 and lived in Staples until her death.  Elizabeth enjoyed gardening and watching television.  She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Browerville.

Elizabeth is survived by her son, Glen Meide, sisters:  Delores Cadwell, Florence Jambor; grandchildren:  James Meide, Rebecca Palo, Jack Palo and Nicholas Palo.

Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents; husband Leo and sister Lorraine Ulick.
