Sally Anne Adamietz, 66, of Clarissa, passed away on April 18, 2018 in her home surrounded by family. Funeral services for Sally will be held on Saturday, April 28th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Clarissa with Fr. Dan Thelen officiating. Visitation will also be held on Saturday prior to the funeral service from 9:00 to 11:00. Interment will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Clarissa at a later date.
Sally was born May 4, 1951, in Parkers Prairie, to Paul and Alma (Schulte) Thelen. She married her high school sweetheart, Leland Adamietz, on August 21, 1971, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Clarissa. She was a professional homemaker who loved nothing more than her husband, five children and six grandchildren. Sally enjoyed cross-stitching, going camping and going out to the lake. Her favorite times were spent being with family and friends, “windshield time” with her best friend and watching all the furry family members run about.
Sally is preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Iris Oswald, Lyle Thelen, Ardella Scott, Earl Thelen, Patsy Tigges and Elaine Thelen; nieces: Monica Tigges and Juliana Thelen, brothers-in-law: Gene Loneman, Don Scott, Franklin Tigges and Lon Adamietz; sisters-in-law: Carol Thelen, Harriet Thelen and Nancy Thelen; and in-laws Leonard and Lillian Adamietz.
Sally is survived by her husband Leland of Clarissa; children: Greg (Helen) Adamietz of Albany, Rick (Tanya) Adamietz of Belle Plaine, Mike (Michelle) Adamietz of Randall, Kate Adamietz of Clarissa and Scott Adamietz of Clarissa; grandchildren: Rhiannon, Glenn, Brooke, Jenna, Madix and MaKenna; siblings: Vern (Rhoda) Thelen of Clarissa, Aldon (Jane) Thelen of Fairmont, Illamae (Roger) Kolstad of Carthage, MO, Larry (Bonnie) Thelen of Clear Lake, WI, Bob (Gloria) Thelen of Glenwood and Paul (Deb) Thelen Jr. of Kasota; brothers-in-law: Andy Oswald of Omaha, NE and Larry Adamietz of Long Prairie and sisters-in-law: Winnie Thelen-Harstad of New Brighton and Tammy Adamietz of Crystal as well as many other nieces and nephews.
