Evelyn Eng, 80, of Browerville, passed away on February 3, 2010 at the Lakewood Health System Care Center in Staples.  Funeral services for Evelyn will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2010, 10:30 a.m., at Zion Lutheran Church in Browerville with Pastor Nate Loer officiating.  Friends and family may call on Friday, February 5, 2010, 4:00 - 8:00 p.m., at the Iten Funeral Home in Browerville and on the day of the service beginning 1 hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be at Zion Cemetery, Browerville.

Evelyn was born April 7, 1929 in Little Elk Township, Todd County, to Gustav & Emma (Johanson) Nordstrom.  On June 7, 1952, Evelyn married Robert Eng and lived in St. Paul until they retired in Browerville in 1982.  She was a homemaker, and worked as a teacher's aide at the McClellan Elementary School for 10 years.  Evelyn enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, baking and especially taking care of her family and grandchildren.  She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Browerville where she served as the church Treasurer for many years and a member of the Ecumenical Quilters Group. 

Evelyn is survived by her children:  Bruce R. (Liza) Eng of Wabasha, Barbara J. Hunt of Winthrop Harbor, IL, Gloria (Randy) Drayna of Longville, siblings:  Alice Loken, Dorothy Koester, Eva Steinert, Irene Smith, Einar Nordstrom,  7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, Gustav & Emma Nordstrom, husband Robert, siblings:  Mildred, Harold, Margaret, Inez, Marie and Donald.
