Robert L. Eng, 81 of Browerville, formerly of St. Paul died April 16, 2009 at the Central Todd County Care Center in Clarissa.  Funeral services for Bob will be held at 10:30 on Monday, April 20 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Browerville. Burial will be held at the Zion Cemetery in Little Elk Township. The visitation will be on Sunday, April 19 from 4-8 pm at the Iten Funeral Home in Browerville and one hour prior at the church.

Robert was born November 23, 1927 in St. Paul to Charles & Emelia (Johnson) Eng.  Robert graduated from high school in 1945 and in November of that same year he joined the U.S. Navy.  He served his country for two years, being discharged in October of 1947.  When Robert returned to St. Paul he began training to be a fireman.  On June 6, 1952 Robert married Evelyn Delores Nordstrom.  He also joined the St. Paul Fire Department and was a fireman for 29 years.  Robert retired in 1982, he and his wife Evelyn moved to Browerville to enjoy their retirement.  Robert enjoyed fly fishing, hunting, gardening and other outdoor activities.  He is a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Browerville.

Robert is survived by his wife Evelyn, son Bruce (Liza) Eng, daughters, Barbara (Dan) Hunt & Gloria (Randy) Drayna.  He is also survived by 3 brothers; Morris, Roger and John, sister Donna Hager, 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Emelia and 3 brothers Howard, Richard and William.
