Agnes Determan, 92, of Glenwood formerly of Clarissa, passed away on March 10, 2010, at the Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood.  Funeral services for Agnes will be held on Wednesday, March 17, 2010, 11:00 a.m., at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Clarissa.  Friends may call on Tuesday, March 16, 2010, 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., at the Iten Funeral Home in Clarissa and on the day of the funeral beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the church.  Christian Mother's Rosary - 5:30 and Parish Prayers - 6:30 p.m.  Burial will be at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Clarissa.

Agnes was born June 24, 1917, in Freeborn County to Fred & Marie Peterson.  She was three years old when they moved to the Clarissa area.  Agnes married Francis (Bud) Determan in Long Prairie on January 5, 1940 and moved to Clarissa in 1947.  Agnes was a cook at the school and also worked at the Do Drop Inn.  She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she was an active member of the Ladies Aid and Circle.  Agnes belonged to the Royal Neighbors and was active in Senior Citizens Center.    

Agnes is survived by her children:  Sandra Carrick of New Market, Joyce (Dick) Thompson of Glenwood, Debra (Jerry) Johnson of Las Vegas, Dan (Nancy) Determan of Glenwood, 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Agnes is preceded in death by her parents, husband Bud, infant son Dennis, brothers:  Chris, Helmer, Norman, Clifford, sisters:  Lil Roberts, Nora Bain and Carla Carroll.
